THIS IS A GRANTED FUNDED POSITION UNTIL 6/30/2015.
Position availability for Fiscal Year 2015/2016 dependent upon grant funding.
A RESUME WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED IN DETERMINING YOUR QUALIFICATIONS FOR THIS POSITION.
Positions in this job classification are assigned responsibility for providing services in the areas of rehabilitation of juvenile offenders and protection of the public through clinical and case management activities in the areas of high risk juvenile intake. Employee will perform both program delivery and client intervention functions.
Essential Duties &
Responsibilities:
Manage case load in the area of juvenile justice; provide services and supervision to high risk youths.
Conduct intake interviews with juvenile offenders, families, and victims and develops appropriate treatment plans.
Provide individual and group counseling.
Arrange health screening and recommend and implement juvenile placement, including out-of-home and community reintegration.
Visit clients in out-of-home placements and ensures that appropriate services are being provided.
Prepare reports for local enforcement agencies and community organizations.
Initiate, develop, implement and monitor contracts with private nonprofit and for-profit entities and coordinate with providers for delivery of services.
Serve as liaison to facilities, agencies and schools and participates on community councils and planning boards.
Complete monthly activity reports and logs.
Conduct diagnostic and evaluation interviews with residents placed in facilities and their families and prepares written social assessment of diagnostic factors.
Participate as a member of multidisciplinary team of professionals and paraprofessionals in formal evaluation staff meetings to recommend treatment methodologies.
Prepare written clinical treatment plans with resident and family.
Coordinate efforts of psychological, residential and educational staff to provide services to meet treatment needs of resident.

Minimum
Qualifications:
Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:
Experience: Two years of professional experience in juvenile justice, social work, community-based prevention and diversionary youth services programs, guidance and counseling or correctional case management.
Training:A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in social work, behavioral science or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
From the time of closing, the hiring process is anticipated to last 1 - 2 months. The process will consist of a panel interview with the success candidate being subject to a pre-employment drug screen, a background investigation, driving history check and a polygraph to be conducted by the Police Department.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
