About The Position The Director serves as the People Operations (POps) leader and enables Geneva to deliver ambitious goals while fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, learning, and accountability.
The Director partners with leadership to deliver a high-performing, trusted Leadership Team.
The Director is also critical to the refinement, design, and integration of organization-wide systems and processes to ensure enhanced human capital processes and efficiencies.
The Director leads a team in the areas of sourcing/recruiting, onboarding, compensation, fringe benefits, employee relations, culture/DEIB, professional development, performance management, policy administration, and organizational initiatives.
The Director creates strategies to drive business alignment and success, assesses current state of people operations, understands gaps between current and desired future state, provides a roadmap for achieving world-class people operations, develops integrated employee engagement communications, and builds a great employee experience.
We are seeking to fill this position with an employee that is within a reasonable commute to one of our locations in the National Capital Region (Bethesda, MD), San Antonio, TX, Tacoma, WA, or Fayetteville, NC.
Salary Range $125,000 - $150,000.
Salaries are determined based on several factors including external market data, internal equity, and the candidate's related knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position.
Responsibilities Management
Responsibilities:
Develop, manage, and mentor staff by providing training, guidance, and feedback Develop and document POps policies and best practice guidelines and internal controls Provide direction and support to direct report employees to ensure optimal performance Conduct regular reviews of all POps policies, programs, and practices to keep leadership and management informed of new developments Provide technical direction and overall supervision and guidance to POps department to ensure compliance with all federal, state and governing regulations/laws Establish departmental key performance indicators (KPIs) and measurements that support the accomplishment of Geneva's strategic and financial goals Spearhead the development, communication and implementation of effective growth strategies and processes Develop and implement plans for department systems and processes Serve as an active member of the Leadership Team Collaborate with peers and team members in a willing, professional manner Encourage innovation throughout the organization for future-based outcomes and results

Develop, implement, and drive key POps initiatives across the organization to support Geneva's talent and culture.
Promote a rewarding, people-centric culture that aligns with organizational mission, vision, and goals Drive organizational effectiveness and change management, partnering to support new initiatives, significant policy changes, process improvements, adoption of new tools, and other key activities Partner with the Leadership Team to develop strategies that drive transformative change, promote organizational sustainability, and position Geneva for future success Serve as an advisor and strategic thought partner to Geneva's Leadership team for the formulation, development, and execution of strategies designed to empower people to do their best work and have a great employee experience Build and foster a workplace that ensures diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging Develop clear, concise, and impactful internal employee communications strategies Own the development and integration of employee culture activities Support the professional development of HR staff to ensure a sufficient skilled individuals and service within the organization Ensure that recruiting processes are consistent, streamlined, and targeted to expand applicant pool Ensure equitable, transparent, and competitive compensation and benefits programs which incentivize and reward performance.
Oversee performance management/annual review plans and processes Provide employee relations support to leadership, directors, and staff, counseling employees on work-related issues while interpreting and applying organizational polices Ensure all HR programs are effective and in compliance with local and national regulations.
Keep abreast of current guidelines, legislation and new regulations, as well as changes and trends, e.

Recommend to leadership any improvement in policies, procedures, and programs to improve operations Oversee various technology platforms, e.

, HCM, ATS, benefits administration technology, and retirement platforms Consult with legal counsel on employment matters as appropriate Participate on internal committees, working groups, and special projects Maintain comprehensive approach for dealing with employee complaints or concerns.
Serve as a coach and mentor to staff, as appropriate, to improve performance.
Partner with leadership team, external support, other staff, and/or legal counsel to resolve employee issues fairly, consistently, and expeditiously Create the complete people strategy that will support employees in realizing their professional ambitions Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources (HR), Business, Organizational Development or related field required.
Advanced degree strongly preferred 7
years of progressive leadership experience in HR roles in non-profit, medical research, or federal government contracting industries A true generalist.
Has broad HR experience and in-depth knowledge in all HR functional areas A true partner.
Can work across every function to solve people operations issues Proficiency with O365, applicant tracking systems (ATS), HCMS, onboarding, and performance management tools Direct management experience of employees in multi-state environment preferred Proven leadership in driving large organizational initiatives that lead to enhanced employee engagement, increased productivity, and greater employee satisfaction Demonstrated excellence in oral and written communication Must be organized, attentive to detail, and possess a positive and professional demeanor Ability to execute the vision of the organization in response to changing conditions Ability to provide strong leadership, innovative thinking, creative planning, and effective motivation of employees Ability to be flexible with changing priorities and available to interact with employees, clients, and sponsors of all levels Ability to exercise independent judgment in fast-paced, high-pressured environment with strict deadlines and to manage multiple projects Ability to develop strong trusting relationships in order to gain support and achieve results Specialized training in employment law, organizational planning, organization development, employee relations, recruitment, training, compensation, benefits and safety Ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional, interdisciplinary teams to achieve tactical and strategic goals Be a consensus builder and persuasive leader with a strong commitment to teamwork and knowledge sharing Job Type:
