Greet Customers Associates must greet customers when they enter the store and monitor them in case, they need assistance finding items they want.
Assist Customers Hardware sales associates retrieve items from shelves and inventory areas for customers and advise them when needed.
They also operate the cash register to collect payments from customers.
Manage Inventory Hardware sales associates unload, unpack, and store inventory items.
They also learn about merchandise in order to answer customer questions and speak knowledgeably about products.
Prepare the Store Hardware sales associates assist in closing the store and preparing the sales floor for customers, which can include designing and setting up sales displays.
They also sweep, mop, straighten shelves, and wipe down displays and work areas to keep the inventory and sales floor areas clean and organized.
Qualifications - Strong customer service skills - Proficiency in basic math and retail math - Experience with POS systems and cash registers - Ability to effectively communicate with customers - Prior experience in retail sales - Knowledge of stocking procedures - Capability to conduct product demos - Familiarity with phone etiquette - Multilingual abilities a plus - Experience in technology sales preferred - Upselling skills desirable - Bilingual in English and Spanish advantageous - Previous experience in merchandising beneficial - Strong organizational and time management skills - Background in hardware, technical, or building materials sales is a bonus Job Type:
