Global Analysis & Operations is seeking a Computer Forensic Analyst to support USSOCOM in Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Candidate should be e xperience d with current computer forensics hardware, software, and methodologies; Possess Bachelor's degree (BSEE, BSCS, BSCE) from a four-year college or university or equivalent combination of training and experience (i.e. 3-years college with 3-years forensics experience. The combination of experience and education will be considered and adjudicated by the on a case-by-case basis. Candidate must have a current security clearance.
Required Skills and Education
Required education: Bachelor Degree or four additional years of experience in lieu of a degree; Must have 1-3 years of experience using the Forensics Tool Kit (FTK) 1x/3x, EnCase 5x or 6x, iLook, P2 Commander, or similar forensic examination toolsets. Have knowledge and experience with latest technologies and programming techniques for multiple software languages, including, but not limited to SQL programming, C#, C/C++, Perl, Python. Experience using regular expression patterns in order to conduct bit-by-bit live searches on media. Ability to produce forensically sound images of digital media, i.e., SATA, IDE, flash drives using imaging software (such as FTK imager or other command line tools) and both internal and external write block hardware. Experience wiping, verifying, and validating media before and after conducting an examination. Experience using virtual platforms such as VMware Server/Workstation in order to mount and view media in its native operating system. Experience with data recovery/carving experience using WinHEX, X-Ways Forensics or similar tool. Experience using hexadecimal code, file structures to include file headers and footers. Experience using regular expression patterns in order to conduct bit-by-bit live searches on media. Understand Basic Unix commands for study of CACHE Flow Logs. Have knowledge of TCP/IP, Networking, SMTP, Exchange Message transport, Active Directory, Exchange System internals and database design. Web filtering, Spam Filtering, and Message Capturing Technologies. Understanding of Privacy Laws, Incident-Response Principles, Encryption Principles and PKI. Experience conducting cell phone exploitation and extracting pertinent data using cell phone analysis tools such as Device Seizure, Neutrino, BitPim, .XRY/.XACT and other open source tools. Experience using Hyper Terminal to communicate with cell phones using AT commands. Experience with CDMA, TDMA, and GSM Technologies. Experience using cell phone analysis tools such as Device Seizure, BitPim, .XRY/.XACT.
Preferred Skills and Education
Advanced Degree and multiple assignments with USSOCOM.
