American Support Telesales Agents provide excellent sales expertise by calling current customers of our cable clients and marketing television, phone, and internet services that may best fit the customers' needs. They provide quality information to promote services that will best fit the customers' needs while developing skills that will help them throughout their careers.

Full-Time Hours and Compensation:
Base pay starts at $9.00/hr, and will increase to $10.00/hr after 30 days if agent is in good standing. Opportunities to receive bonuses based on sales/performance. Full-time employees have the option to sign up for benefits, and also receive paid time off.
Hours of operation are Monday - Friday from 12PM - 12AM EST (11AM - 11PM CST) and weekends 10AM - 6PM EST (9AM - 5PM CST). Agents receive 30 - 40 hour/week schedules at the end of training. Opportunities may be available to pick up extra hours during peak periods.

Required Equipment:
PC that meets American Supports standards (specification can be found here)
An approved USB headset (we recommend either a Logitech or Plantronics headset)

Responsibilities:
Following a Sales Methodology to uncover customer needs and match appropriate products and services to the needs.
Accessing customer account information to determine promotion eligibility
Entering sales information into scripting software for reporting purposes.
Remains current on changes in the service pricing and procedures, order entry process, and sales promotions through completion of the required/recommended training programs.

Successful candidates have:
Great listening skills to help better understand customer needs.
Ability to ask probing questions to draw out additional customer wants/needs.
Ability to overcome customer objections with strong rebuttals.
Confidence in upselling products and/or services.
Great communication, both over the phone, as well as in writing.
Above-average computer skills, as this position requires all reps to use their own personal computers.

Preferred skills:
At least one year experience in a customer service and/or sales environment.
At least 6 months call center experience (virtual or brick and mortar)
Bilingual skills a plus.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
