AMERICAN SYSTEMS is seeking a retired/ former US Army AH-64E Repairer (15R) for an OCONUS position as a Maintenance Instructor/Advisor to the Republic of Korea Army (ROKA) on the Republic of Korea (ROK) AH-64E Technical Assistance Field Team (TAFT)
This Security Assistance Training Team is being provided to the Republic of Korea Army (ROKA) in building a mission-ready AH-64E Attack Helicopter Squadron with appropriate maintenance support and an organic training capability that will allow the ROKA to sustain the force. This training team is being provided as part of a Security Assistance Training Program that directly supports US Foreign Policy and the execution of Department of Defense Security Cooperation Plans and Programs.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
Conducts formal instruction (including classroom academics and hands-on demonstration) to train Republic of Korea Army (ROKA) maintenance personnel.
Advises ROKA unit maintainers in AH-64E maintenance techn iques and procedures.
Trains, mentors, and evaluates ROKA AH-64E Aircraft Mechanics
Supports maintenance operations by performing aircraft maintenance as part of combined ROK/US maintenance teams.
Advises ROKA on AH-64E maintenance
Provides AH-64 subject matter expert level advice and training to ROKA personnel on U.S. Army AH-64E techniques and procedures.
Assists ROKA to establish effective AH-64-related training, standardization, logistics, sustainment, and maintenance programs.
Trains and mentors ROKA personnel on appropriate methods to continue these programs after TAFT mission completion.

There is no requirement/authorization to carry firearms.

Job Requirements
High school diploma or GED
Graduate of US Army Senior Leader Course / BNCOC
Previously qualified as a US Army trained 15R AH-64E Aircraft Repairer.
Previously completed US Army sponsored or approved/recognized E Model Differences Training and be able to provide documentation supporting completion of training.
At least five (5) years of experience conducting and supervising US Army Aviation AH-64 D/E maintenance programs.
Experience as an Attack Helicopter Platoon Sergeant (or similar position)
Experience as a Technical Inspector (TI).
Additional Desired Background/
Experience:
Experience as an Instructor at a formal maintenance qualification course is highly desired.
Other Requirements:
Must be medically and physically fit to deploy and perform their TAFT duties.
Must be able to provide a doctor's certification letter stating medically and emotionally fit for deployment and performance under potentially austere, physically demanding, and stressful working conditions.
Must be knowledgeable in the applicable aviation maintenance subject areas, capable of conducting effective training, and presenting a professional appearance.
Ability to climb, balance, and work on confined/small elevated helicopter platforms.
Completion of Medical Evaluation/Physical Exam within the last 12-months.
Not possess any chronic physical conditions that would prevent performance of duties in a semi-austere, tropical environment with limited access to medical care.
Ability to present proof of negative HIV test within 90 days of traveling overseas.
Must possess a current US Tourist (Blue) Passport. (Passport must not expire within 12-months of being hired.)
Must be drug-free with ability to successfully pass a drug screening test.
Ability to pass a comprehensive background check with favorable results.
Korean language proficiency is preferred, but not required.
