Administrative Support Assistant

Major Duties:
Management of facility suspense & task tracking (Coordinates management of all facility responses across multiple services lines for submission to higher HQ) Correspondence Coordination (Management of correspondence program; creation, tracking, filing). Organizational Program Support (Data Management/Analysis, report gathering/collation, records management) Executive Office Support (Coordinates and schedule meetings,conferences, manages office purchasing, work orders for repairs). Provides coverage for ELT secretaries during absence of primary serves as the Administrative Support Assistant to the Director's Office with primary responsibility for coordinating all controlled correspondence. receives all Action Items/controlled correspondence for the VISN and/or V ACO; routes matters requiring action by service chiefs; and follows-up to ensure that actions are completed in the time frame established. Monitors such correspondence to ensure that actions taken are accurate and appropriate procedures are followed. provides training on internal tracking systems to all hospital staff required to respond to Action Items. This includes service chiefs, section chiefs, administrative officers, program support, etc. Work Schedule:

Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade 5 any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-6 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-5. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade. You may qualify based on your experience and/or education as described below:

Experience:
You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-05 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to:
Correspondence Coordination, Organizational Program Support, Executive Office Support, and Government Purchase Card Duties. You will be rated on the following Competencies for this position:

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
