Social Worker (Caregiver Support Program Manager)

Provides the full range of supervisory duties which includes the responsibility for assignment of work to be performed, performance evaluations, selection of staff, training of staff, and recommendation of awards, advancements, and when appropriate, disciplinary action Coordinates program implementation with multiple clinical services across all campus locations within the VA Health Care System, including but not limited to:
nursing, physical, occupational and speech therapists, and mental health and primary care providers Provides clinical interventions to the Veteran and caregiver populations served by the programs Establishes and maintains an ongoing education program for Veterans, caregivers, community agencies, students, and staff to facilitate understanding of clinical practice guidelines, mental health issues, readjustment issues and psychosocial issues facing caregivers Develops and facilitates Caregiver Support Program focused direction, orientation, coaching, in-service training, staff development, and continuing education programs for VA facility staff and the community Develops and implements a plan for outreach to Veterans and Veteran caregivers who may benefit from the CSP program services (but who do not presently use VA for their health care needs); including outreach to current PGCSS and PCAFC participants to inform of available services Maintains a current network of referral resources to include peer support mentoring groups, caregiver skill building and self-care educational opportunities, mental health support, legal and financial services Directly supervises the Caregiver Support Coordinators and, when applicable, Program Support Assistants and other inter-professional staff assigned to the Caregiver Support Program Coordinates program implementation with multiple clinical services across all campus locations within the VA facility, including but not limited to:
nursing; physical, occupational, and speech therapists; mental health and primary care providers Provides clinical interventions to the Veteran and caregiver populations served by the programs Serves as the subject matter expert to VA Facility leadership and staff for all CSP related issues and serves as a consultant to other VA professionals and administrators on program specific activities Serves as a liaison to Veterans Integrated Service Network Program (VISN) CSP Program and the VA Central Office (VACO) Program Identifies unmet needs of the caregiver population, their families, significant others and caregivers Works collaboratively with the facility, VISN, and VA Central Office staff to develop and implement solutions-participating in national, regional, and VISN operational calls, contributing to national leadership council committees, and implementing cultural transformation initiatives Performs the administrative and personnel management function relative to staff supervised, including personnel actions, clinical supervision, consultation, negotiation with other departments, and quality improvement Provides consultation and briefings to other staff and internal/external stakeholders on the special needs of caregivers Develops policies and procedures for program operation, and prepares reports and statistics for facility, VISN, and national use Manages CSP clinical and business operations, accountability for program effectiveness, and modification of service patterns to comply with the delivery of standardized processes Addresses Congressional inquiries, VISN, and VA Central Office action items as requested Develops a data-driven, continuous quality improvement program with established goals and outcomes to evaluate and document the program's effectiveness Develops a system to identify family caregivers served by the VA facility, including caregivers in the catchment area not enrolled in CSP Recognizes gaps in workforce competencies and ensures supervised staff who require knowledge and skill development receive the training to execute their duties Certifies staff completion of all required annual and ad hoc trainings through documentation and reporting Responsible for all aspects of program staffing, work assignments, budget and treatment services Provides oversight of facility CSP program fiscal matters of the functions supervised which would include fund controls, contracts, and equipment expenditures; forecasts resource and equipment needs, and administers the allocated budget Manages all processes, procedures, and practices associated with program eligibility and participation Work Schedule:

Have a master's degree in social work from a school of social work fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE). Graduates of schools of social work that are in candidacy status do not meet this requirement until the school of social work is fully accredited. A doctoral degree in social work may not be substituted for the master's degree in social work. Licensure:
must be licensed or certified by a state to independently practice social work at the master's degree level English Language Proficiency:
Must be proficient in spoken and written English to be appointed as authorized by 38 U.S.C. 7403(f). Grade Determination GS-13:
Must have at least one year of experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level. Experience must demonstrate possession of advanced practice skills in a specialty area or in administration demonstrating progressively more professional competency and judgment. Candidate may have certification or other post-master's degree training from a nationally recognized professional organization or university that includes a defined curriculum/course of study and internship, or equivalent supervised professional experience. Ability to independently organize work, set priorities, and meet multiple deadlines. Skill in a range of supervisory duties which includes clinical supervision, consultation, negotiation with other departments and quality improvement. Ability to ensure provision of clinical social work services by supervised social workers. Ability to delegate authority, manage priorities, coordinate work, and follow up on pending issues to complete duties in an accurate and timely fashion. Ability to analyze organizational and operational problems, develop and implement solutions that result in efficient operations, and use data effectively to manage workload, quality, performance, and productivity within the service. Ability to provide staff training and development. Licensure/Certification:
Must be licensed or certified by a state at the advanced practice level, and must be able to provide supervision for licensure. The full performance level of this vacancy is GS-13. References:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
