Incumbent will fabricate, construct, alter, repair, and modify structures and assemblies associated with carpentry work. Included are walls, partitions, floors, roofs, furniture, cabinets, counter tops, shelving, forms and shipping crates. Window frames, glass, Plexiglas, door closures, exit devices, displays and prosthetic equipment will be installed, repaired, or constructed in association with various jobs and projects. Construct stud walls and partitions, using metal studs and tracks; install associated door frames, insulation, window frames, and sheetrock. Will float and tape joints. Will install paneling, roofing, materials, pet board and soundproofing board. Ceiling grid and acoustical tile will be installed or replaced, as well as vinyl floor tile, cove base, comer guards, handrails, and stair treads. Will fabricate cabinets, counter tops, and shelving. Incumbent will install plastic laminate such as Formica; make molding or special picture frames. Will construct stairs and make roofing repairs. Will mortise doors for new lock set installations and install exit devices with associate locks. Builders hardware will be Installed and/or repaired as appropriate, to include door stops, push/pull and kick plates, window locks and latches, hinges and patient handrails. Will perform minor masonry repairs, to include patching plaster walls and assisting mason with minor repairs to vinyl wall covering. Will also do staining and certain amount of painting. Installs, maintains, repairs, and troubleshoots all types of locks. Works with mortise, cylindrical, rim, cabinet locks, padlocks, safe and cash box locks. Of these, works with interchangeable secure keyway core, conventional pin tumbler, wafer, and barrel locks. Performs the full repair cycle of locating problems, disassembly, repair, cleaning, reassembly and reinstallation. Makes first time lock installation on metal doors, drawers, cabinets and medicine carts. Maintains the VAMC Great-Great-Great Grand Master Key lock system with restricted keyway and auxiliary lock systems. Computerized keying systems records will be maintained by the incumbent. Sets up n w master keying requirements for services and auxiliary requirements such as multiple medicine cabinets. Makes keys for hospital employees and contractor personnel. Installs and maintains electronic locking devices, electronic strikes, maglocks, and other complex electronic locking and security systems. Must have detailed knowledge of electronics involved in setting up, programing, troubleshooting, and maintaining these locks. Repairs safes and vaults and changes combination/locks. Services cash boxes and personnel lockers with locks. Picks open locks and makes a first key by fitting or filing or through use of code numbers. Performs other directly related duties as assigned. Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 8am - 4:

Experience:

Your qualifications will first be evaluated against the prescribed screen out element, which usually appears as question 1 in the on-line questionnaire. Those applicants who appear to possess at least the minimal acceptable qualification requirement are considered for further rating; those who do not are rated ineligible and are eliminated. A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities. Physical Effort:
Works from ladders, platforms, and in hard to reach locations. Requires standing, stooping, crawling, bending, kneeling and lifting. May occasionally be required to lift/move 50 pounds or more. Will have to push and pull equipment Working Conditions:
Work may be done indoors and outdoors. Incumbent will be exposed to the elements accordingly. Subject to dirt, dust, noise, lubricants, and solvents. Hazards of cuts, bruises, falls, heat and potential eye contamination are present.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
