Program Support Asst (OA)

Duties to include but not limited to:
Responsible for collecting, compiling and/or tracking statistical information and preparing complex data/reports; Tracks achievement on performance measures, goals, and objectives; receives and processes documents and reports in accordance with established procedures; Uses software applications to draw information from a wide variety of sources in order to prepare reports; Retrieves a variety of computerized data, establishes protocols for incoming data; Organizes and maintains patient data; Maintains automated system of program-specific data to track suspense's on items; Tracks and trends issues related to the program effectiveness and implementation; Utilizes statistical data to compile monthly workload reports as requested for all program staff; Reviews documents, reports, and/or applications for accuracy; Participates in performance improvement activities related to the program quality improvement process; Performs work related to the acquisition and/or development of program information and resource materials/personnel; Completes special projects in support of the policy development and/or technical/program activities; Assembles and summarizes data, background information, and other materials from publications and other sources; Works collaboratively with the WVPM and the support staff in the distant sites to ensure smooth flow of operations; Collaborates with staff in the health centers, community vendors, as well as other patient care offices; Receives all telephone calls and correspondence which are then screened on the basis of knowledge of the program or operations; Evaluates and interprets administrative material received in the service; Maintains calendar and schedules appointments and conferences for the supervisor and other staff; Records minutes of meetings as required, committee meetings and transcribes in final format; Establishes and maintains records and files according to written guidelines; Tracks and keeps the supervisor informed about the program budget information; Serves as unit timekeeper. Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-7 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-6. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. Experience:
You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-06 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to:
providing information and analysis for short and long-range planning, making recommendations for improving workflow, completing assigned special projects, performing general clerical and assistant support of a fiscal nature, creating and researching accounting records, collecting, compilation, and/or tracking of data and statistical information, providing assistance and service to the general public, staff members, and communicating information to the Executive Leadership, facility staff, and outside stakeholders. Physical Requirements:
The work is mostly sedentary but requires standing during presentations or training; may require some walking, bending, stooping, standing, stretching and carrying objects such as files/binders. Work also requires spending time performing keyboarding duties. No special physical characteristics of the incumbent are needed to perform the work. Occasional travel is required. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
